When I was working on writing new music with Jim Witter and Eric Arjes, we felt like a relatable break up topic were those relationships that always feel like “work.” Those relationships are frustrating because you want to make the person happy, but then in the end the other person calls it off anyways. So that started the question, “Were you always leaving?”
In life and in music, make sure both partners are on the same page in the relationship. Relationships will always be work, but if both people do not want the same thing in the end, then there is no point in putting in all the time and effort.
